How Yabby Protects Your Data
A plain-language look at what we collect, why we collect it, and how Canadian players stay in control of their information.
Your Data, Explained Plainly
Last updated: September 30, 2026
We collect the minimum information needed to run a fair, secure account for you, verify who you are, and process your Interac e-Transfers, card payments or crypto cashouts without delay. This page goes deeper than our terms on exactly what that means in practice.
What We Collect When You Sign Up
When you open a Yabby account, we ask for your name, date of birth, email, phone number and a Canadian mailing address. We use this to confirm you are 19 or older, the minimum legal age for gambling in Canada, and to build an account that is genuinely yours. We do not collect this information to sell it. We collect it because payment processors, fraud checks and responsible gambling tools all depend on knowing who is behind an account.
Verification: Why We Ask for ID
Before your first withdrawal, or if our systems flag unusual activity, we may ask for a government-issued photo ID, a proof-of-address document, and for card users, a partial image of the card used to deposit. This is standard practice across regulated and internationally licensed casinos, not something unique to Yabby. It protects you from someone else accessing your winnings and protects us from fraud and underage play. Documents are reviewed by our verification team only, stored securely, and never shared with marketing partners.
How Long We Keep Verification Documents
We retain identity documents for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet anti-fraud and financial recordkeeping obligations. If you close your account and request deletion, we will remove what we can while keeping only what we are legally required to retain.
Payment Data: Interac, Cards and Crypto
How we handle payment data depends on the method you choose:
- Interac e-Transfer: we receive your name and the email or phone number tied to the transfer, plus confirmation of the amount. We never see your online banking password or PIN.
- Visa and Mastercard: card numbers are processed through encrypted payment gateways. We store only a masked reference, never the full card number.
- Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and USDT: we log the wallet address and transaction hash needed to confirm a deposit or send a cashout. Blockchain transactions are public by nature, but we do not link your wallet address to your identity beyond what is needed for our own records.
Cookies and How the Site Remembers You
Cookies keep you logged in, remember your language and display preferences, and help us understand which games and pages Canadian players actually use. We also use cookies tied to session security, so if your account is idle for a period, you're logged out automatically. Some cookies come from analytics tools that measure site performance in aggregate. None of this tracking is used to target you with ads outside the Yabby site. You can clear cookies or block them in your browser settings at any time, though doing so may log you out or reset saved preferences.
Who Can See Your Information
Access to your personal data is limited to our verification, payments, support and fraud-prevention teams, plus the payment processors and identity-verification vendors we work with to run those functions. We do not sell player data to third parties. Where a specific regulator or dispute-resolution body has a legal right to request records, we cooperate as required. The registered company name behind Yabby, along with our specific licensing details, is published in the site footer. Please confirm those details there before you play, since they identify who is legally responsible for handling your data.
Your Rights as a Player
You can ask us to show you what data we hold on your account, correct inaccurate details, or close your account and request deletion of data we're not legally obliged to retain. You can also opt out of marketing emails and SMS at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting support directly. None of these requests affect your ability to withdraw funds you're owed.

Keeping Play in Check
Some of the data we hold, like session length and deposit frequency, also feeds our responsible gambling tools, including deposit limits and self-exclusion options. If gambling stops being fun, ConnexOntario is available at 1-866-531-2600 or connexontario.ca, free and confidential, for players anywhere in Canada. Details on setting limits are on our Responsible Gaming page.
For more on how these protections connect to your account day to day, see Terms and Conditions, Payments, and About Yabby. Ready to get started? Create your account once you're comfortable with how your data is handled.
